Asia Hopes Week, 5-12 March 2018, Bangkok

12 year old Lee Xin Ni from Malaysia participated in the Asia Hopes Week in Bangkok from 5 – 12 March 2018.

A total of 12 boys and 12 girls participated in the event. The players came from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Syria, Yeman, India, Sri Lanka, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Jordan.

The chief coach in-charge of the Asia Hopes Week was Eva Jeler, who is also Germany’s national coach.

Lee Xin Ni earned her place in Asia Hopes Week by finishing in second place in South East Asia Hopes Week in January 2018.

In the just concluded Asia Hopes Week, Lee Xin Ni beat Ser Lin Qian from Singapore by 3-2 in the Semi-Final. However, she lost to Wikaram from Thailand by 1-3 in the Final, thus finished as Runner-up.

The top 3 players would earn a place to take part in the World Hopes Week which will be held in Spain from 30 July to 5 August 2018.

In this respect, Lee Xin Ni would be eligible to participate in the World Hopes Week, which is a great achievement for her and a great honour for Malaysia.
