The ITTF Umpires and Referees Committee (URC) cordially invite National Associations to nominate Blue Badge International Umpires (BB) for this prestigious event, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from 23rd August – 6th September 2020. You may nominate two IUs who have achieved Blue Badge status, at least one of whom must be female – i.e. only one male umpire may be nominated. The primary selection criteria will be excellence so please only nominate umpires who are considered to be your best. Experience at recent ParaTT events is a pre-requisite and only umpires who have this will be considered.
Since this is an open invitation, unfortunately many umpires nominated will not be selected. The selection will be based on past performance (number of Meets with a minimum of 80% ratio of Meets over the past 3 years), continental quotas and gender equity. Subject to other factors being equal, preference will be given to umpires who did not participate in the Rio 2016 Olympic or Paralympic Games. The OPC will confirm the selection in May 2019 and an announcement will be made on the ITTF website.

Late submissions will not be considered.
Note: Applicants to state if the Requirements as stated in the Invitation letter by the Olympic /Paralympic Organising Committee is met.
