27th August – Saturday 8:30am – 10pm

28th August – Sunday 9:00am – 6pm

Events: Singles

Entry Fee: RM20.00 per player for Open category.

RM10.00 per player for Under 13 category


Players are limited to:

Open Categories - 140 players per category, Men & Women, (group of 4)

Under 13 Categories – 148 players per category , Boys & Girls, (group of 4)

Closing date: 17th August 2022 (Wednesday)

Draw date: 20th August 2022 (Saturday)

Competition Rules:

The ITTF Rules & Regulations will be adapted and used for the tournament together with other regulations set by the committee.

Objections on the suspected modified rubber shall be made before the match. No objections on the said matter will be entertained once the match ends.


Match Format:

1) Group Stage (Open: Men/Women; U13: Boys/Girls)

2) Round Robin, 4 or 5 players in a group playing Best-of-3 games.

3) Champion and Runner-up of each group shall proceed to knockout stage.

4) The Knock-out stage match will play Best-of-5 games.

5) The 4 Semifinalists of the Men & Women category of the Malaysia Table Tennis Championships (MTTC) 2022 shall gain direct entry to the Knockout Round.

Points for grouping:

Win : 2 points

Lose : 1 points

Forfeit : 0 points

If players are tied on points, the following methods will be used for the affected players:

a) Head-to-head match, winner wins.

b) Number of games won / number of games lost

c) Number of points scored / number of points lost


Open Categories

Champion - RM3,000.00

1st Runners-up - RM1,500.00

2nd Runner-up - Rm750.00

2nd Runner-up - Rm750.00

U13 Categories

Champion - RM1,500.00

1st Runners-up - RM500.00

2nd Runner-up - RM250.00

2nd Runner-up - RM250.00


Walkover is not allowed. The player will be disqualified and entry fee forfeited.

Players who are 10 minutes late from the scheduled time (without reasonable excuse) will be forfeited. The opponent will be awarded a free win with 2-0 or 3-0.

General Matters

The organizer reserves the right to extend the time of tournament in the event of overrun matches or in any unforeseen circumstances.

The organizer reserves the right to disqualify players who does not adhere to the rules.

In the event of any problems or complications not provided for in these regulations, the decision of the organizing committee is Final.

A written protest must be lodged within 30 minutes after the end of a match together with RM100 cash deposit. The deposit will not be refunded if the objection is found to be baseless.

The organizing committee shall decide the Jury who will convene on the protest.

The organizers reserve the right to amend the Rules & Regulations.
