Invitation for International Umpires to the 29th Asian Table Tennis Championships

The Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU), in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Table Tennis Federation (UTTF), invites ATTU Member Associations to nominate International Umpires (IUs) for the 29th Asian Table Tennis Championships, which will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 19 – 25 October 2026.
Selected overseas umpires will receive hospitality from lunch on 18 October until breakfast on 26 October 2026, sharing a twin room. International travel, insurance, and other personal expenses are the responsibility of the umpire or their Member Association. An honorarium will be paid in accordance with ATTU guidelines.
Each Association should nominate:
At least one Gold Badge or Blue Badge International Umpire; and
White Badge International Umpires who have been internationally active during the past two years.
An Advanced Umpire Training (AUT) Course and Advanced Rules Examination (ARE) will be held on 18 October 2026 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. White Badge Umpires selected for the event may take part in the AUT. For the AUT, all candidates must go through some self-study and two online sessions with the course conductor before being allowed to attend the on-site AUT in Tashkent. Those who pass the online ARE will enter the Blue Badge (BB) umpire program of URC. Arrival for those attending the AUT Course are expected to be on Saturday 17th October 2026. Candidates of the AUT/ARE or their Association will be responsible for the Course fees of USD 50 (USD 80 if ARE is also taken) plus the additional night’s (Saturday 17th October) accommodation.
Important Notes
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Visa applicants should provide the required passport details with their nomination. An invitation letter will be issued after confirmation.
All selected umpires are expected to attend the Referee Briefing on 18 October 2026 and remain for the entire duration of the event.
As this is an open invitation, not all nominated umpires may be selected.
Please submit the completed nomination no later than 12 August 2026. Successful nominations will be announced by 30 August 2026.
