Invitation for Umpires for WTT Contender Tunis

Dear Colleagues,


The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of WTT Contender Tunis invites International Umpires to officiate at the forthcoming WTT Contender Tunis in Tunis, Tunisia.


WTT Contender Tunis will commence on Monday 1 August 2022 and conclude on Saturday 6 August 2022.


This is an open invitation, and only online nominations submitted by bona fide National Associations will be considered, not all submissions may be accepted.


ACCOMMODATION

Full hospitality will be provided in a single room from dinner on 31 July to breakfast on 7 August or the specified day of departure.


TRANSPORTATION

All invited umpires must organize their own transport to the Event. Local transport will be provided from and to (airport). In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure.

TRANSPORT BOOKING PROCEDURE

The LOC will cover the cost of return economy airfares inclusive of 1 piece of checked baggage, and to be paid in cash onsite.


The cost of the airfare must be approved by LOC in advance and a copy of the receipt + ticket issued by the airline must be provided to the LOC in advance of arrival.

Travel and medical insurance are recommended and are at the cost of the umpire.


COVID TESTING + PROTOCOLS

All umpires are required to undertake their own Medically Supervised ART testing in their place of residence prior to arrival at the event as follows:


Covid Vaccinated Umpires: One (1) Medically Supervised ART test within 48 hours of arrival at the event + Proof of Vaccination

WTT will reimburse the cost of ART testing up to USD 100 (EUR 85) per test.


If a pre-departure Covid-19 ART/PCR test is needed prior departure from Tunis, the cost will be covered by the LOC.


Any umpire that tests positive will be isolated. The umpire will be released from isolation based on the decision of the local health authority and is responsible for any costs associated. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

ENTRY and VISAS ENTRY:

Due to Covid-19 there are revised entry requirements into Tunis – please refer to the following entry requirements https://www.discovertunisia.com/en/infospratiques/entry-requirements.

VISAS: Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details when submitting the nomination (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport) to tunisian.tttf@gmail.com. A letter of invitation will be provided. Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy.


OFFICIATING FEES

The daily officiating fee shall be:

- Blue Badge: 75USD

- White Badge: 45USD


International officials will have their fees paid by WTT via bank transfer after the Event. Tunisian based officials will have their fees paid by the LOC via either cash or bank transfer.


The closing date for nominations is 17 June 2022 @ 4.00 pm. The list of umpires accepted will be advised on or before 28 June 2022.
