Dear Colleagues,
The Local Organiser Committee (LOC) of WTT Youth Sulaymaniyah invites International Umpires to officiate at the forthcoming WTT Youth Contender in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.
The event will commence on 14 March 2022 and conclude on 20 March 2022.
It is an open invitation, therefore not all submissions may be accepted.
Only online nominations submitted by bona fide National Associations will be considered; preference will be given to young umpires.
Full hospitality will be provided in a single room from dinner on 13 March to breakfast on 21 March.
All invited umpires must organize their own transport to the region as well as travel and medical insurance. In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure. Local transport will be provided from and to Sulaymaniyah Airport (ISU).
Umpires are required to make their own arrangements for pre-departure COVID-19 test(s).
Non-vaccinated umpires: two (2) pre-departure COVID-19 tests – first test 7 days prior to entry and second test within 72 hours prior to flight departure to Sulaymaniyah.
Fully vaccinated Umpires with the Digital COVID Certificate: not required to take the first test 7 days prior to entry to Sulaymaniyah – only the test within 72 hours prior to flight departure is required. Umpires shall send the Certificate to the Organiser.
The LOC will cover the cost of the Covid-19 tests and the limit of reimbursement per PCR test is 100 USD. In case a pre-departure Covid-19 test is needed prior departure from Sulaymaniyah, the cost will be covered by the LOC. An umpire tested positive will be in isolation for 10 days. After day 10 and showing no symptoms on the last 3 days of isolation, by National Law, umpire will be released of isolation. The umpire is responsible for all the costs associated to the isolation. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details when submitting the nomination (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport). A letter of invitation will be provided. Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy.
Each umpire will receive WTT Youth Series Officiating Rates per competition day, according to WTT Directives for Match Officials.
