The Local Organizer Committee (LOC) of WTT Star Contender Goa 2023 invites International Umpires to officiate at the forthcoming WTT Star Contender in Goa, India.
The event will commence on 27th February 2023 and conclude on 05th March 2023.
It is an open invitation, therefore not all submissions may be accepted.
Only online nominations submitted by bona fide National Associations will be considered.
Full hospitality will be provided in double room from dinner on day before the event starts to breakfast on day after the duty ends.
LOC will cover the cost of your return economy airfare inclusive of 1 piece of checked baggage up to 500 USD.
A copy of the receipt + ticket issued by the airline must be provided to LOC upon arrival.
Travel and medical insurance are recommended and are at your own cost.
In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure. Local transport will be provided from and to Dabolim Airport, Goa (GOI)
Umpires are required to make their own arrangements for pre-departure COVID-19 test(s), according WTT Covid Protocols.
Only fully vaccinated umpires are allowed to take part in the event.
Umpires shall send the Vaccination Certificate to the Organizer.
A Covid -19 test before arrival in the host country is not required
In case a pre-departure Covid-19 test is needed prior departure from the host country, the cost will be covered by the LOC.
An umpire tested positive will be in isolation according to the local Laws. The umpire is responsible for all the costs associated with the isolation. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details when submitting the nomination (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport).
A letter of invitation will be provided. Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of WTT and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy.

Each foreign umpire will receive daily allowance by WTT, per competition day
Gold Badge Umpires: 125 USD
Blue Badge Umpires: 100 USD
Blue Badge Umpires in Progress: 60 USD
White Badge Umpires: 60 USD
In case of day off the umpire shall receive 50% of the daily allowance
Foreign umpires will receive 50% of the daily allowance for the day prior the competition starting day
The closing date for nominations is 11 January 2023 (Wednesday) @ 4.00 pm.

The list of umpires accepted will be advised on or before 20th January 2023.
