The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of WTT Doha invites International Umpires to officiate at the forthcoming WTT Events in Doha, Qatar:
• WTT Youth Star Contender: from 7 to 11 March
• WTT Feeder: from 13 to 17 March
• WTT Contender: from 18 to 24 March
• WTT Star Contender: from 25 to 31 March
This is an open invitation, and only online nominations submitted by bona fide National Associations will be considered, not all submissions may be accepted. Priority will be given to International Umpires who are willing to commit to all four events.
ACCOMMODATION
Full hospitality will be provided in a double room from dinner on 6 March or the specified day of arrival to breakfast on 1 April or the specified day of departure.
TRANSPORTATION
All invited umpires must organize their own transport to the Event. Local transport will be provided from and to Hamad International Airport – (DOH). In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure.
TRANSPORT BOOKING PROCEDURE
Umpires who are choosing to umpire for WTT Youth Star Contender Doha only will need to pay their own transport fees to DOH.
The LOC will cover the cost of return economy airfares inclusive of 1 piece of checked baggage for umpires who are willing to commit to all four events up to a maximum amount of USD 1000, and to be paid in cash onsite.
The cost of the airfare must be approved by LOC in advance and a copy of the receipt + ticket issued by the airline must be provided to the LOC in advance of arrival.
Travel and medical insurance are recommended and are at the cost of the umpire.
COVID TESTING + PROTOCOLS
Non-COVID Vaccinated Umpires will not be considered. All umpires are required to undertake their own PCR testing through an approved testing centre in their place of residence prior to arrival at the event as follows;
COVID Vaccinated Umpires One (1) PCR test within 72 hours of arrival at the event + Proof of Vaccination
WTT will cover the costs of the COVID-19 pre-departure COVID PCR test to Doha and the limit of reimbursement is 100 USD. If a pre-departure COVID-19 PCR test is required prior departure from Doha, the cost will be covered by the LOC.
An umpire tested positive will be isolated. The umpire will be released from isolation based on the decision of the local health authority and is responsible for any costs associated. Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Please read carefully the Covid-19 Guidelines available via the Prospectus.
VISAS
Should a nominated umpire require a visa, he/she shall be responsible to arrange their own VISA. If he/she would like the VISA to be organized by Qatar Table Tennis Association, please send a copy of the passport. A letter of invitation will be provided. Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy. The deadline of VISA inquiry is 11 February 2022.

The daily officiating fee shall be:
WTT Youth Star Contender
Blue Badge: 50 USD
White Badge: 45 USD
WTT Feeder
Blue Badge: 55 USD
White Badge & Others: 35 USD
WTT Contender
Blue Badge: 75 USD
White Badge: 45 USD
WTT Star Contender
Blue Badge: 100 USD
White Badge: 60 USD
International officials for Youth Star Contender will have their fees paid by LOC via bank transfer after the event.
International officials for WTT Feeder, WTT Contender and WTT Star Contender will have their fees paid by WTT via bank transfer after the respective Events.
Qatar-based officials will have their fees paid by the LOC via either cash or bank transfer.
The closing date for nominations is 11 February 2022 @ 4.00 pm. You are kindly requested to carefully read the instructions, then to complete the attached nomination form and submit it to TTAM via email at (ttammalaysia@gmail.com), copy to State TTA (State endorsement required), Mr. Lee Su Hau (a_lee438@yahoo.com) and Ms. Corrine Wong (corrinewcc@gmail.com).
Umpires who are not selected will not be notified.
